POL 101   American Government Honors (3)

This course is an interdisciplinary, Honors-level version of American Government.  It will be team-taught with a faculty member from another department. Emphasis is on critical thinking and independent research and will develop civic engagement.  Addresses concepts of political science with a major emphasis on origin, principles, organization, and nature of American federal system and its politics. Field course about European politics, history, and cultures in the context of a study tour. Explores the history of Europe and future of the European and future of the European Union through readings, films, writing assignments, and other activities.
