Online and E-Learning Training and Support

Members of the SCC Online and E-Learning team are here to support faculty who want to integrate technology and online resources for their courses.

How We Help Our Faculty

SCC faculty who are looking for professional development on specific educational technology available that could be used in their courses, can visit OEL Training: Teaching With Tech for specific technology needs (login required). If faculty need one-on-one help or help with software or technology not included in that course, please contact a member of the OEL team for assistance.

For faculty and staff teaching at SCC, the OEL Faculty Training: Online by Design course is required professional development for learning Canvas, Quality Matters, and best practices in online/hybrid course design and development (login required). The Dean of Online & E-Learning and instructional designers are all Quality Matters certified in Applying the Rubric and as Peer Reviewers and can assist you as you work through the course if needed.

Faculty interested in creating video content, media, and alternatives to straight lecture-capture, may work with the OEL team for help and ideas!
