GED Testing


The college has been approved by the state of Missouri as a regional GED testing site. 

  • Testing is conducted one Saturday a month in the Student Center, Room 205. 
  • You must submit an application form to the state of Missouri and receive an authorization to test before you may register.
  • Applications may be obtained at any of the GED class sites or by calling 636-922-8411.

Application fee $20
Testing fee $20

Registering for the GED Test:

  1. To register for the GED test, call 636-922-8299 or stop by our Admissions Office (Room 1113 in the Administration Building). Payment is due at the time you register.  Remember, you must have approval from the state of Missouri before you may register. 
  2. Pay the $20 testing fee with either cash, check, money order, or credit card.  You may pay in person at the Cashier's Office (Room 1117 of the Administration Building), mail in a check or money order, or pay over the phone with a credit or debit card.
  3. Visit a GED preparation class to complete the demographic form.  Call our Adult Education and Literacy Office at 636-922-8411 for days and times of demographic preparation sessions. 
  4. Bring your completed demographic form to either the Admissions Office or the Assessment Center (Room 133 of the Student Center).  

Requirements to Take the Test:

  1. To be eligible to take the GED test, an applicant must meet one of the following requirements: 
    1. Be 18 years of age or older. 
    2. Be 17 years of age and out of school at least six months from the last day of school attendance.
    3. Be 16 or 17 years of age and one of the following:
      1. Have the written permission of an authorized school official (head principal or superintendent) of last school attended.
      2. If home-schooled, have written permission of parent or legal guardian.
      3. Be incarcerated or have the written permission of the juvenile judge if under the court's jurisdiction.
  2. An applicant must be a resident of Missouri.

Retesting:

  1. New fees for applying and testing are required each time a person takes the GED test. 
  2. A person must wait 60 days before they may retest and may take the test only three times per calendar year.
