“It
sounds like I’m exaggerating, I know, but other teams who
play us at home almost always say something about our fields. The grass
is awesome, there’s good seating for spectators, and the dugouts are
great. Having a cool place to play definitely makes for greater team
pride. It’s
one of the reasons I really looked forward to being a Cougar.”

Great skills are enhanced by top-quality facilities. SCC has invested big-time in its physical campus to make sure Cougar athletes get the most out of their practices and game times. It’s just another aspect of Cougar pride.

The field is covered in Kentucky Blue grass and is surrounded by a crushed red-brick warning track. This red perimeter helps players negotiate the field and remain safe when going for that foul ball.
An in-ground irrigation system keeps the field green all year round and subsurface drainage keeps the fields ready for action even in wet weather. An in-field tarp protects the field against inclement weather The SCC Grounds Department maintains the field all year long.
72-foot long premier in-ground dugouts with benches can accommodate up to 40 players. Home and visitor bull pens. Practice area with batting cages and soft-toss area. Electronic remote-control scoreboard.
Spectator seating includes bleachers, three-tier lawn seating, and seating for the disabled.
During the off-season and inclement weather, Cougar athletes spread out in the College Center gym for cardio and skills training and practices.
The Fitness Center includes the latest cardio and weight training equipment, including a large set of free weights.
In the Student Activities Office, located in Room 103 of the College Center, you’ll find a student lounge with TV and comfortable seating; foosball and air hockey games; computer stations for completing assignments or checking email.
The office of Kelley Pfeiffer, student activities coordinator, is located here as well. She can help you with questions about your academic schedule and other student-related questions.
