Students Under Age 16 Checklist

Welcome,

To get started on your learning journey at SCC you will need to complete the following tasks. Use this handy checklist to keep track of the steps you've completed. Click on each step to view the instructions for completing that step.

1. Complete an Application for Admissions and the Application for Special Admission.

  • Take your completed application to the Assessment Center when you go to take the Academic Skills Assessment (see step 3.) If you are not taking the test, applications can be submitted in person or mailed to the Admissions Office.
  • Applications may be found online in Acrobat Reader (PDF) format, or may be picked up at the Information Desk in the Administration Building.
2. Read enrollment instructions for students under age 16.
3. Take the Assessment Test.
4. Apply early for financial assistance.
5. Meet with an academic counselor and register for classes.

6. Pay tuition and fees in full.
7. Obtain picture ID and parking tags.
8. Buy textbooks.
9. Complete the online orientation for new students.
10. Sign up for SCC Connection.
  • Access your final grades, personal SCC records, and register for upcoming semesters. You must complete one full semester before you can register online.
