Enrolling at SCC is Simple!

St. Charles Community College maintains an open-admission policy. Before registering for courses, all new students must complete an Application for Admission.

Students may apply for admission anytime during the year. Admission to the college does not guarantee entrance into a particular course or program of study.

Which Path Best Describes You?

Select a path below that best describes you to find out more about the admission policy and process.

First-Time College Student:
For students who have never attended college before and have a high school diploma or GED diploma. A + students view additional guidelines.
Just Want to Take a Few Classes:
Students who want to take less than 5 credit hours for personal interest or professional development.
Transfer Student:
Students who have attended another college and earned college credit and want to attend SCC.
Interested in Allied Health:
Nursing, Practical Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Health Information Technology majors.
Do Not Have a High School Diploma:
Students who have not received a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
Dual Enrolled High School Student:
Junior or senior high school students who wish to earn college credit.
International Student:
Students requesting an I-20 for an F-1 visa.
Home-Schooled Student:
Students who have been schooled at home.
Resident Aliens or Visas Other Than F1:
Students possessing a resident alien card or any other type of visa other than an F1.
Students Under Age 16:
Students who are under age 16 and wish to enroll.
