I have no idea of what field to enter. What resources do you have that could help me decide? Career Services has three counselors who can help you to identify your career interests. During that process you might take various career tests, refer to briefs that describe careers that interest you, and review a wide variety of books and pamphlets related to identifying career interests. I thought Career Services is where you go your last few months on campus, right before graduation. When should I go to Career Services? Career Services
can help students from start to finish while in school. During that first year you may also want to find a part-time job or an internship. Career Services can help you identify jobs in your career path. They can also help you write and update your resume. During your second year, we suggest you visit Career Services to complete research on potential employers and participate in mock interviews. I was thinking of becoming a psychologist. How can I find out more about that field? Do you know of anyone in that job that I might talk to? We have occupational briefs that describe several thousand job titles, including Psychologists. These briefs describe the work performed, working conditions, hours/earnings, education/training, required licensing, and the employment outlook. In addition, we can refer you to someone in the community who is currently working in your career or interest. We can help establish a job shadowing opportunity where you spend time with that person observing their work. What services are available in the Career Services Center? Job Search Assistance including resume writing, networking and interviewing tips, internship opportunities, full-time and part-time job postings, an annual job fair, resource library, and community and classroom presentations. Career Development including career counseling, career assessments, job shadowing, more than 2,000 occupational briefs and reference materials. Where is the Career Services Center? Administration
