Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum will be on campus at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, in the SSB Auditorium. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The event is open to anyone who would like to attend. Santorum's campaign office will make a sign-in sheet available for students. Should parking fill up in the yellow lot near the SSB, additional parking is available in the blue and purple lots. Details about the event are included in this news release. The SCC Photography Invitational will be on display Jan. 30-March 4 in the FAB gallery. The invitational will be shown in conjunction with the UMSL Student Photography Exhibition. Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, contact Christine Holtz. Guest speaker Frank Meeink will present "A Former Skinhead's Fight Against Prejudice" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the SSB Auditorium. Frank will share the story of his descent into America’s Nazi underground and his ultimate triumph over hatred and addiction. Frank's lecture will be followed by a book signing. Bobby Norfolk, an Emmy award-winning St. Louis storyteller, will host "Storytelling for All Ages" at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the SSB Auditorium. Bobby creates vibrant characters who come to life through imaginative, creative story, living history programs that highlight the African-American experience, and toe-tapping musical shows that feature song and live musicians. Ed Mayuga, AMM Communications principal, will present “DIY Marketing and Branding,” at the inaugural meeting of the Leadership & Strategy Speaker Series, from 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles. The event is free, but pre-registration on the St. Charles Chamber website is required by midnight on Feb. 6. |

Students no longer need to make appointments in advance with SCC academic advisors, because they now accept walk-ins only. Students can now meet with one of up to eight available SCC academic advisors based on a first-come, first-served basis. SCC Career Services still requires appointments. Academic advisor offices are located in ADM 1204. Office hours are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday. The following college representatives will be visiting SCC to discuss transfer requirements (all representatives will have tables set up in the Atrium of the Administration Building):
