On July 1, SCC delivered 31 boxes, consisting of 2,362 food items to the Morning Star Church of St. Charles County.  The church will travel to Joplin, Mo., this week and deliver the items to people in need. The SCC Bookstore would like to extend appreciation to all who contributed food items and time in order to make the donation a success. Plans are underway for another donation event for back-to-school supplies. Additional information will be provided at a later date.

Bob Ronkoski, SCC director of public safety, was elected to the position of second vice president of the Missouri Peace Officers Association for 2011-2012 at the Missouri Combined Law Enforcement Conference last week. This position automatically elevates to the position of first vice president for 2012-2013 and to the organization's president for 2013-2014.

Congrats to SCC student Katherine Hough who won a $50 gas card for completing a short survey through the Student Development Department. The survey solicits information about the kind of student service that was received, its helpfulness, and ideas for improvement of services.
