SCC Scholarship Applications for Fall 2008 Semester Now

Assistance offered to students with financial need as
well as in specific fields of study
Scholarship applications for the fall 2008 semester at St.
Charles Community College are now available. The wide variety of
scholarships provides students multiple options for requesting
financial assistance from the college. more
Terri Ingracia to Receive SCC Distinguished Alumni
Award
The St. Charles Community College (SCC) Foundation has
announced the recipient of the college’s 2008 Distinguished Alumni
Award, to be presented at the 20th annual SCC commencement ceremony
on Saturday, May 17, in the College Center on campus.

The St. Charles Community College Foundation PEAR Award
Scholarship Dinner on Feb. 23 at Whitmoor Country Club in St.
Charles raised $60,445 for scholarships and academic programs of
excellence while recognizing the achievements of civic leader Grace
Harmon. The proceeds this year set a fundraising record for the
Foundation’s annual gala event. more

SCC Foundation Hires New Annual Giving
Manager
Kasey McKee of
O’Fallon recently joined the St. Charles Community College
Foundation as annual giving manager. McKee will assist in the
cultivation and solicitation of individuals, businesses, and
organizations. She will also play a large role in the growth
of the Annual Sponsorship Program. more
New SSM St. Joseph Friends Scholarship to Benefit
Nursing Students
The Friends of SSM St. Joseph Auxiliary recently established a
new nursing scholarship for students in the second year of the
associate’s degree nursing program at St. Charles Community College
(SCC). The scholarship will award $1,000 for the fall
semester, funded by the Friends of SSM St. Joseph Auxiliary, and the
SCC Foundation will match this amount for the following spring
semester, as long as the student maintains the required grade point
average. more
