Welcome
Welcome to the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IRE), a part of the Technology, Research and Planning Division, at St. Charles Community College.
Established in 1997, IRE serves to provide timely, accurate, and useful information to the college, its community, and its stakeholders. Through reports, studies, and trend analysis IRE enables responsible parties with the tools needed to make data-driven decisions as the college successfully pursues its mission.
IRE is located in the Social Sciences Building, Suite 2104.

Dr. Ronald R. Pennington
Director
Ron joined SCC in 1998. Since joining SCC, Ron has given numerous presentations and papers on the subject of institutional research in community colleges. He previously conducted research at Webster University, Bell Telephone, and in state/local government. Ron holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from St. Louis University, a M.A. in Urban Affairs and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Suzanne G. Wirth
Assistant Director
Suzanne joined SCC in 1992 and IRE in 1999. She is also a member of the Oral Communications adjunct faculty. She previously worked as a sales analyst at Nestle Foods and in international marketing at McDonnell Douglas. Suzanne holds a M.S. in Corporate/Industrial Communications and B.A. in Computer Science from Lindenwood University and an A.A. from SCC.
