Network Security – PIX Firewalls
(CPC 246)

There has never been a greater need for network professionals trained in security. Companies, governments, and organizations must guard against hackers, outsiders, and even disgruntled employees who threaten their information security, integrity, and daily business operations.

Network Security I and Network Security II are an introduction to network security and overall security processes, combining hands-on experience, instructor-led lectures, and a Web-based curriculum. Students learn to design and implement security solutions using the router IOS firewall and the PIX security appliance to reduce vulnerability and the risks for revenue loss.

Fundamentals of Wireless LANs
(CPC 240)

As organizations adopt wireless LAN technology to gain the competitive advantages of a mobile and productive workforce, they need qualified professionals who can design, install, support, and operate a wireless solution.

In the Fundamentals of Wireless LANs course (CPC 240), students learn to develop, implement, and troubleshoot wireless networks. The course – a combination of hands-on experience, instructor-led lectures, and a Web-based curriculum helps students to achieve the Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist Designation.
