Foundations of Music – MUS 101-N - Summer 2008
Dear Online Foundations of Music Students,
My name is Gene Ditch and I will be your guide through Foundations of Music, MUS 101. This is a semester online course and provides a unique opportunity for your introduction to the basics of music theory through the advantages of modern technology. The course covers the basic elements of music through the building of triads, seventh chords and their inversions.
There is a Mandatory Orientation meeting which you must attend due to the fact that this course is not WebCT/Blackboard based. At this meeting we will log you into the course, go over the syllabus and discuss how to use the course itself. Again, this course format is different from the other online courses offered at SCC.
Orientation:
Monday, June 2 - TECH 214 - 5 p.m.
It is extremely important that you purchase the course materials before orientation. For this course you need OnMusic Fundamentals by Connect for Education. OnMusic is available at the SCC Bookstore, in person, online at www.stchas.edu/bookstore, or order by phone at 636-922-8448. You may pay by VISA, MC or Discover.
