Dear Teleweb Student: Summer 2008
Welcome to the Teleweb course entitled Cycles of Life: Exploring Biology (BIO 100). I am Ann Vernon and I will be your "facilitator" for the course. I am here to guide and direct you through the course and to answer your questions about the assigned material. I will keep office hours (to be announced at orientation) when you can reach me in person or by phone. My phone number is 636-922-8642. My office is 2442G located in the Administration building. When you cannot reach me, you may leave a message with the Math, Science, and Wellness division secretary, Audrey Gose at 636-922-8351.
"Cycles of Life: Exploring Biology" is an introductory course in biology that brings you the latest biological discoveries and theories in an interesting, entertaining and enriching format. In this course you will have a view of the origin and nature of life, from the simplest single-celled forms to complex plants and animals and human beings. The course examines the scientific method and considers both its promises and limitations. It answers many of our questions and poses new ones time after time.
