Dear ART 101 Telecourse Student:

Welcome to St. Charles Community College and the telecourse, “Art of the Western World.” This telecourse is an introduction to art from prehistoric to present. My name is Tim Hahn, and I am the instructor.

Assignments will consist of video programs, text readings, mail-in quizzes, mid-term and final exam. A museum visit and paper are also required. There is a MANDATORY ORIENTATION SESSION where class materials will be distributed and pertinent dates and course expectations will be discussed. Any questions about the course will be addressed at this time. Following are important dates for this course. Please pick one from each category to attend.

Your textbook is available at the bookstore. The student telecourse manual will be given to you at the orientation. Good luck this semester! The tapes may be checked out at the SCC library during their normal hours with an SCC ID.

**Students may now receive their telecourse books through the mail. Call the bookstore at 636-922-8448 to place your order. There is an additional shipping charge of $5.00 per telecourse. Students may use VISA, Mastercard, or Discover as methods of payments. Items will be shipped UPS.

**Be sure you receive the telecourse book for your class. On campus classes may have different books.
