The refund is based on a formula that divides the number of class sessions having already met by the total number of class sessions for the semester. This number is multiplied by 100 to determine a percentage of sessions already used.
Example:
If you would like a refund on a class that will meet 45 times during
the semester and the class has already met 10 times, you would use the
following formula to determine your refund:
10 sessions /45 sessions = 0.222 x 100 = 22.22%
According to the new refund schedule above, you would receive a 50% refund. NOTE: The current day classes are considered to have met regardless of the time the class is scheduled.
| Percentage of Refund | Percentage of Class Sessions Used |
| 100% | 0-7% |
| 90% | 7.01-14% |
| 50% | 14.01-35% |
| 25% | 35.01% through the last day to drop with a “W” * |
NOTE: No refunds will be
issued after the last day to drop
a course. *Dates may be prorated for courses less than 16 weeks in duration. |
